I have been an enthusiastic photographer for nearly fifty years; starting with film and slides during the 1970s at University where I mainly took sports photographs for sale to various college teams.
I enjoyed slide work but focussed on black and white developing and printing. My very first camera was a second hand Zenit E camera and progressed through to Canon and Nikon film.
In November, 2010 I joined the Saltburn Photographic Society and rekindled my passion for photography. This is where I met Mick and other photographers who often journeyed out around North Yorkshire and beyond.
Primarily Nikon
I belong to the dark side according to the Canon users. But I also owned a Canon 7D Mk II before the D500 was launched which makes me a little grey, I suppose.
I started in B&W at school and was taught darkroom techniques of enlarging and developing prints. I also had a Zenit E then a Praktika MTL3.
A Canon user for almost 30 years, my passions are motobike racing and landscapes. I am a regular visitor to the Isle of Man TT and Olivers Mount, Scarborough where I have captured many of the great riders of the 21st century. Living in the North East, I am fortunate to have the North York Moors, Dales and beautiful coastal locations to photograph.Stefan and I were asked to take wedding photographs semi-professionally by recommendation of others and found we worked well together as a team.
