The Seagull Nebula, also known as IC 2177, is a relatively bright, and very large emission nebula measuring over 240 light years across the "wings" found between the constellations Monoceros and Canis Major. It is a roughly circular H II region centred on the Be star HD 53367 It lies around 3800 light years from Earth.
Taken over 2 nights 16 & 17 Jan 2023. My intention was to get more panels for a much bigger mosaic. Will try again when the Seagull comes back into view.
