M106 Group


Group of galaxies around Messier 106 (also known as NGC 4258), an intermediate spiral galaxy in the constellation Canes Venatici. Messier 106 may have a companion galaxy, the spiral galaxy NGC 4217. NGC 4217 is about 80,000 light years across and appears almost perfectly edge on in the lower part of this image. Three other galaxies can be seen NGC4248 (close to M106), NGC4220 (right of image), NGC 4346 (top left) in addition. to the bright star HD107610.

Taken on ASI 1600MM mono camera using RGB filters - 10*300sec per filter. Integrated in APP and processed in PI/PS.
