M51, the Pinwheel Galaxy lies at a distance of 20.9 million light years from Earth.
Supernova SN2023ixf was discovered a few days ago and created great excitement. The exploding star can be seen in the outer spiral arm of this galaxy. Taken using FLT132 at native focal length of 925mm with mono camera and LHaRGB filters by Mick Lobley. Processed in APP and PS.
